Our friends at IKEA in Fishers, IN asked us if our moms would be interested in checking out some new Spring & Summer displays - and guess what? There is CHILDCARE! IKEA just opened their newly renovated Småland and want our CityKids to CHECK IT OUT!
You will arrive at 10:30am at IKEA in Fishers, kids in tow, drop them off at the new Småland, and then come join your CityMoms friends for a tour of their new Spring & Summer displays!

A COUPLE OF QUICK GUIDELINES TO SEE IF YOUR KIDS ARE ELIGIBLE TO ATTEND Småland:
Kiddos must be a minimum of 37” tall and a maximum of 57” tall
All kids at Småland must be toilet trained
Småland can only be used for a maximum of 1 hour

This summer, from the biggest global animated franchise in history, comes the origin story of how the world’s greatest supervillain first met his iconic Minions, forged cinema’s most despicable crew and faced off against the most unstoppable criminal force ever assembled in Minions: The Rise of Gru.
Long before he becomes the master of evil, Gru (Oscar® nominee Steve Carell) is just a 12-year-old boy in 1970s suburbia, plotting to take over the world from his basement.
It’s not going particularly well. When Gru crosses paths with the Minions, including Kevin, Stuart, Bob, and Otto—a new Minion sporting braces and a desperate need to please—this unexpected family joins forces. Together, they build their first lair, design their first weapons, and strive to execute their first missions.
When the infamous supervillain supergroup, the Vicious 6, oust their leader—legendary martial arts fighter Wild Knuckles (Oscar® winner Alan Arkin)— Gru, their most devoted fanboy, interviews to become their newest member. The Vicious 6 is not impressed by the diminutive, wannabe villain, but then Gru outsmarts (and enrages) them, and he suddenly finds himself the mortal enemy of the apex of evil. With Gru on the run, the Minions attempt to master the art of kung fu to help save him, and Gru discovers that even bad guys need a little help from their friends.

Volunteer opportunity with Gleaners Food Bank {kids ages 9+ welcome}
CityMom, please join us for an evening of giving back to the local Indianapolis community! We have arranged for fifteen (15) total volunteer spots with Gleaners Food Bank on Thursday, 12/16. This week prior to Christmas is one of the busiest for their Food Pantry, and they need help fulfilling their Client’s shopping needs.
DETAILS:
Attendees will be put to work during this 3-hour shift stocking shelves, retrieving carts from the parking lot, sanitizing carts, and helping Pantry clients get items packed in their car. Our shift will start with a mandatory 15-minute training to help get you situated.

If you’d like your responsible tween/teen to join you, ages 9+ are welcome to join.
Wardrobe: Closed toe shoes are required, and you are recommended to dress warmly in layers. We will be in and out of the Food Bank building (which is heated) to the outdoors and it could be chilly. Face masks are also required.
Gleaners has a volunteer room available with lockers for safe-keeping your items.
Photography is permissible onsite, but please limit your shots to our group and volunteer leaders only.
You are welcome to bring a water bottle and light snack, however a meal will not be served during this time so plan accordingly.
