We think you’ll be ‘hooked’ on fishing after meeting expert Clint Kowalik. Join us Saturday, September 9th at 10am for a family-friendly fishing lesson at Carmel Clay Parks’ Central Park.
Clint is providing all the equipment, all the expertise, and plenty of fish-friendly puns. All you have to do is show up! All are welcome but fishing lessons will be available to those age 3 and up only! (it’s a safety thing, you get it)

Where: Central Park at the Monon Center in Carmel, Indiana - meet in the parking lot by the restrooms and we’ll move down to the boardwalk area for easy fishing - stroller friendly! (there is an entrance off College between 116th & 111th that puts you right next to it!)
When: Saturday September 9th at 10am (please be on time)
More details: The cost for this event is $15 per family
Some really important housekeeping notes:
Only kids age 3 and up will be able to fish
Yes - they will be touching live bait, there is water, and they will be unhooking fish - sometimes parents will need to help which means you may be touching these things too!
Wear appropriate clothing!
Adults canNOT fish at this event unless they have a valid Indiana fishing license - this is on public property and subject to all local laws. Don’t worry - you can get one here -> Indiana Fish & Wildlife Online License System (note: this is not required for attendance)
