Indianapolis Symphony Savings: 4 Must-Know Money-Saving Tips

Editor’s note: We're smitten with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and occasionally sprinkle in sponsored content for the ISO we think your family will enjoy, such as this article below. Enjoy!

Maybe you've peeked Hilbert Circle Theatre (i.e. the home of the ISO!) during a walk around Monument Circle. Maybe you've seen an Indianapolis Symphony show during the Kroger Symphony on the Prairie series. Or maybe - like me! - you're a bit of a live music enthusiast. Whether it's your first time or your fifteenth time going to the Symphony, I loveeee telling people that there are not-so-secret ways to save money on Indianapolis Symphony tickets (including a huge annual sale on their popular subscription packages!).

Let's to go to the symphony, but first, here are 4 must-know ways to save at the Indianapolis Symphony:

4 must-know ways to save at the Indianapolis Symphony:

1. Take advantage of the annual 3 for $99 ticket sale

Each year the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra offers an amazing, limited-time promotion... a 3-for-$99 subscription package. With it, you can mix and match three performances from the season to customize your own performance package! And yes, it's valid on almost every show the ISO offers, including their classical series and their popular Film Series which includes a special 2025 Star Wars in Concert run.

2. Use a limited time promo and receive a free bonus concert.

As if the 3 for $99 sale isn't enough, every year the Symphony offers another savings on top: Buy 3 for $99 and you'll get a free bonus concert as an added value, which breaks down to four shows at less than $25 each.

Another must-know way to save at the Indianapolis Symphony:

3. Experience First Thursdays for free.

First, let me clarify that First Thursdays typically don't include a dedicated performance, but they are a way to enjoy a more behind-the-scenes view of the interworkings at the Symphony. Attendees can get to know the ISO's conductors or musicians with intimate fireside chats, hear what it takes to execute some of the world's most renowned music, and learn insider details on things like the popular Yuletide holiday performances, all for free. This season's First Thursdays will be held November 7, March 6, and May 1.

Classical music isn't the only arts experience to explore in central Indiana.

Another must-know way to save at the Indianapolis Symphony:

4. Have kids? Try the Teddy Bear Concert Series.

By far one of my biggest tips to growing symphony-loving kids is to tryout an ISO Teddy Bear Series Performance. These free events are often held at local libraries. Kiddos can meet ISO musicians as they explore symphony instruments, plus enjoy storytime with ISO violinist - and kids author! - Victoria Kintner Griswold in each 30-minute session. Best part: It's educational programming in the form of fun.

I know that didn't include a Indianapolis Symphony promo code, but I hope these tips helped you. And here's one more: Join theCityMoms free membership! Our members are the first to learn about any promo or discount codes first, including limited-time ones from the ISO. Hopefully I see you at the Symphony some time soon!  Peek their entire 2024-2025 season here.
