If you’re starting the year with health and fitness goals but find it hard to fit into your jam-packed schedule (or post-holiday budget), we feel you, mama! Check out our long list of fave (and free!) YouTube fitness channels. Most require minimal or no equipment-all you need is a few square feet of space and your phone.
Here are our fave (free!) fitness channels on YouTube:
Beginner-Friendly and Low-Impact
Are you a walking warrior who loves to meet your step goals? Then make sure to catch Get Fit with Rick! In just 20 minutes a day, Rick helps you step and sweat with low-impact workouts for all fitness levels.
(Tip: Mamas with chronic pain or health issues will love these joint-friendly walking workouts)
If you like your sweat sessions with a bit of handholding, same here, mama. Grow with Jo takes the guesswork out of choosing workouts by giving you free, weekly workout schedules so you can dive in with expert guidance.
Cardio and HIIT
If you are serious about having fun while getting fit, you’ll love Emily! Her eclectic dance routines feel more like a party than a workout. Options include a 2000’s dirty dance party (um, hello college), Broadway musical-inspired workouts, and if you want to get your kids moving, there are even Encanto and Disney Descendants workouts!
A personal fave of Jeanine, our Chief Mom Officer at theCityMoms, Pop Sugar has amassed over six million subscribers for good reason. They offer tons of videos that vary in length and difficulty.
Indoor Cycling
From biking beginners to skilled cyclists, there’s something for everyone on this channel. Kaleigh has created a comprehensive library of spin workouts, including a beginner’s guide to indoor biking, an 8-week cycling and strength program, and weekly Livestream classes.
Pilates
Blogilates presents so many fun ways to dive into the Pilates game—7-day challenges, boatloads of beginner workouts, and a 21-day tone challenge—no wonder they have nearly eight million subscribers! Choose from full-body workouts or an extensive list of videos targeting abs, booty, legs, or arms. The possibilities are endless!
Prenatal-Friendly
A CityMoms fave, BodyFit by Amy, has oodles of options for every fitness preference—whether you like weightlifting, full-body blasts, or low-impact/beginner workouts. Bonus for pregnant mamas: she offers plenty of prenatal exercises so you can stay active and healthy at all stages of your pregnancy.
Strength and Tone
Offering 20–30-minute barre workouts that will help you get toned from head to toe. Don’t be fooled by the short length of these workouts-you’ll break a serious sweat (and maybe a little sore the next day too).
