Spring cleaning checklist
March is Spring cleaning month!
There’s something about cracking open the windows after a long winter that makes us want to clean the entire house. If you’re like us and in need of a deep clean after hibernation, here’s a list to get you started!
Spring cleaning checklist:
To Clean
Kitchen cabinets- organize and throw out expired food
Disinfect all the toys
Clean windows inside AND out
Wipe off those baseboards
Wash the couch cushions covers and vacuum underneath
Give the bathroom a good scrub
Flip/rotate your mattress
Have the kiddos clean under their bed
Vaccuum out your car- the stale fries in the backseat need to go
Clean the vents (maybe even hire an HVAC cleaner to really get in there)
Empty out the fridge and give it a scrub. Check expiration dates as you fill it back up
Dust the house from top to bottom
Air the rugs out and give them a good scrub (or hire someone to do it)
Wash the curtains
WE’VE GOT MORE TO GET YOU STARTED:
To Organize
Organize your nightstand
Tidy up the cleaning supplies and see what needs refilled
Organize the junk drawer
Organize the linen closet- sheets/towels past their prime need to go
Put away extra shoes that are piling up in the mudroom
NOW THAT THE PANTRY IS PURGED:
Pick up these fave finds for a quick and easy refresh
To Donate, Recycle, or Trash
If you have clothes in your closet that you haven’t worn in a year, then they need to go
Clear and dispose of any expired meds in the medicine cabinet
Check your socks and underwear drawer, if worn out = pitch it
Rotate, sell, or donate toys that haven’t been played with in a while
Sort out kid’s clothes that don’t fit and donate or sell them
