I loved Joel Courtney from “The Kissing Booth,” and remember my parents watching Kelsey Grammar in his title role of Fraiser. When both of these actors graced the poster for the movie “Jesus Revolution,” I was intrigued, especially after hearing the rumors it was based on a true story.

Jesus Revolution is an inspiring film that tells the story of a group of young people in Southern California who experience a spiritual awakening in the late 1960s.

The movie captures the essence of the counterculture movement of the era, with its focus on peace, love, and social justice. The actors are strong and the production values are impressive, with great attention paid to historical accuracy and detail.

The “You Are Welcome Here” scene struck a chord as it showcases the doors of Grammar’s congregation being open to all, and in a few short minutes, how a gap begins to bridge.

The film's message of hope and transformation is both powerful and inspiring, and it serves as a reminder of the enduring impact of the Jesus People movement on American culture.

Overall, if you’re interested in the history of the 1960s counterculture movement - or seeking inspiration and spiritual renewal - this is the movie for you.
