It's pumpkin spice and everything nice season! I didn't have a chance to make a Halloween pregnancy announcement (but did a Christmas one with my first!), but it's around this time of year that I absolutely Fall in love with how creative parents get with a cute pregnancy announcement at Halloween. If you're expecting your own little boo and have been holding off to scream Happy Halloween in a fun way, we scoured social media and found all the trending Halloween pregnancy announcement ideas (like this great one from @girlgangyeg!).

Get ready to feel inspired by these to announce your own good news...

Here are 9 of our favorite Halloween baby announcement ideas:

1. The baby pumpkin

This cute idea is a classic: Let your pumpkin carvings do all the talk, just like Alexandria's does here. With this idea, you simply label your big pumpkin as "Mom," with a tiny pumpkin inside, then maybe have a letter board or ultrasound photo nearby.

2. The pumpkin patch

Thanks to @mrsgabbygabrielle for such a simple idea! Grab your ultrasound photo, find a cozy spot at your favorite pumpkin patch, and snap away. The nice thing about this option is if orange isn't your aesthetic, you can switch up spots to white pumpkins, gourds, or a cute photo wall.

3. Favorite Halloween movies

Okay Hocus Pocus fans, I'm obsessed with this announcement from @peteandjordan. Isn't it such a unique pregnancy announcement? I can totally see this working for other favorite Halloween movies like Practical Magic or The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.

4. Sibling announcement

We've seen lots of siblings do the heavy lifting of announcing they'll be a big brother - or in the case of @paigekensmith’s girls below, big sisters! This is such a simple but great way to announce a new little pumpkin is joining the family.

5. Not-so-scary skeletons

We've seen a couple different versions of this trend: One where the whole family gets outfitted in adorable skeleton shirts or full skeleton costume like @thatkindaluv does with her husband and the older siblings.

Or, this cute version from @alisamnelson where Mom's baby bump is covered by a skeleton shirt showing the sweet outline of a baby skeleton.

6. Baked goods

I feel like this Halloween-themed pregnancy announcement trend has popped quite a bit in the past couple of years - using cookies, cakes, or cupcakes to announce not just a gender reveal, but a baby too! These goodies from @laurenashcookies tease to the due date for her baby shower client, but we know this angle is also a unique way to announce a new baby too.

7. Use a letter board

Dunno about you but I love using our letter board for lots of things - why not put it to use for a baby announcement? Plus it's so simple! @catchaglimpse4d just added an ultrasound photo, a baby pumpkin or two, and that's all you need too.

8. A photo wall

Literally obsessed with this cute pregnancy announcement from @idaroseevents, and how she incorporated a beautiful Halloween season photo wall (it's really the perfect backdrop that I might have to steal for my next Halloween party!). This announcement is modern, aspirational, and feels every bit as curated as our Halloween decor.

9. The hard launch

We've seen this also pop up more in the past couple years - the hard launch "hey we had a baby!" birth announcement in place of a pregnancy announcement. And why not? If you chose to keep your pregnancy private, here are a few ways to announce your newest arrival:

  • Wearing baby's first Halloween costume "Our newest little boo!"

  • Showing off the first baby's little feet with a set of pumpkins around

  • Make it a family affair: Capture a photo of the whole family dressed in costume with baby in front
