6 Reasons to do girls night at the Yelp Indy Totally Bazaar
The biggest, holiday pop-up shopping party of the year is back: Yelp’s Totally Bazaar. On Saturday, Dec. 8 from 6:30 – 11 p.m., the grand doors of Central Library will swing open to reveal hundreds of local businesses on all six floors. From cocktails to Christmas cacti, Indy mugs to Mexican ice cream, this event is not one to be missed (RSVP) and here’s why:
1. It’s free to attend
In other words, you can’t go wrong. Entry is free, but Yelp is suggesting a $10 donation to Salvation Army (they’ll be passing out free hot chocolate in their food truck).
2. It's on a Saturday night (for the first time ever!)
Take advantage of this now-weekend event and gather your crew - even if they’re from out of town! Yelper tip: carpool with friends or Uber to the event.
3. Find 150+ local businesses under one roof
With everything from specialty beard oils to baby Indy onesies, and from raunchy greeting cards to relaxing salt scrubs, you’ll find something for everyone on your list. Meet the faces behind the local brands you love and snag goods that are only sold at this event (Hotel Tango special stocking stuffers, anyone?!).
4. Taste local spirits, brews, wines and snacks
Sample new Hoosier hooch you’ve heard about for months (West Fork Whiskey and 8th Day Distillery will be making their debuts this year), purchase a full glass of your favorite, then sip it while you explore the event. There will also be ready-to-eat foods: Punch Burger, Jamaican Reggae Grill, Soupremacy, Agave Grill, LICK Ice Cream and more.
NEED ANOTHER IDEA FOR A GREAT GIRLS NIGHT? WE HAVE IT:
Try Penn and Beech Candle Co. in downtown Indy.
5. Bop while you shop
Salsa dancers, DJs, ballerinas, choirs, and a cappella groups will adorn each of the six floors in Central Library. Once you’re all shopped out, you can soak in their talent.
6. The library needs your books
