Drybar Indianapolis :: A moms night out event recap

There ain't no party like a mom party and a mom party don't stop... {Except when we've taken over DryBar Indianapolis for 2 hours and need to go home to our families that is.}We've all heard the buzz of the brand new DryBar breaking onto the scene in Indy - a blowout bar? As in a place that makes my mom hair look fabulous in under an hour? And more importantly, I DON'T HAVE TO DO A DAMN THING BUT SHOW UP? Dear goodness where has this been our whole lives?!We love recapping our LOVE for local events, activities or fun for a moms night out in Indianapolis - so whether this post inspires your own moms group or drives you through the doors at DryBar, here's a rundown of the fun we had recently:

DryBar is officially open in Indianapolis. And there are plans for more locations.

DryBar is 'the nation's premier blow dry bar specializing in just blowouts, no cuts, no color,' according to their website. And before the rumors began circulating of a new location {pleeeease don't kill us for spilling this fabo news DryBar but we hear you're eyeing a Mass Ave storefront and more!}, we gathered our CityMoms for a night of blowouts, rom coms, and wine.

This MNO - that's 'moms night out' in CityMom eventspeak - was crafted for 20 members to attend. Upon arrival, we oogled the bright interior, settled in with some snacks and wine {which are always available for customers}, and eyed our stations. In addition to all the DryBar-branded hair products gently setup around the salon, there are televisions inset to the stations that play 24/7 romantic comedies. This evening we were treated to Breakfast at Tiffany's but visits since have netted The Proposal, Say Anything and How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days. I.e., all your faves.

One by one, moms were paired with a stylist who asked a few simple q's about hair texture and style preferences. Each of us browsed the special DryBar Look Book to ID exactly what we were going for. This writer selected the Mai-Tai which is a slightly wavy look. Others went for the Cosmopolitan, a gorgeous mix between Southern Belle and manageable curls.

Each blowdry appointment then shifts to the wash area. Did you know HEAVEN is in a head massage thanks to DryBar stylists? Pure luxury we tell you. After awaking us all from a deep, relaxing sleep, stylists steered us back to our stations.

Let's take a look at those before and afters:

Then - because we had to show off our gorge locks even more - we jumped into total selfie mode:

Okay, last one:

Nope, we lied. One more:

Okay best parts about our DryBar experience aside from the time spent with friends, being fawned over by professionals and never wanting to leave?

  • DryBar Indianapolis is conveniently located near the Fashion Mall, with plenty of parking available.

  • Pricing is reasonable. $45 per blowout OR become a BarFly {haha!} and pay only $40 for 2 blowouts/monthly.

  • Every single stylist we encountered was friendly, quick and had us feeling Gisele-worthy when we left.

  • Appointments can be scheduled online for ease OR via phone.

  • The salon is just so. darn. inviting. Between the vino, snacks and romantic comedies on repeat, we're near begging them to allow us to move in permanently.

ISO a spot to primp you before a big event OR for a little pampering time-out? It's here. No seriously. And we can't wait to see them grow more in the Indianapolis market.

MORE INFORMATION: DryBar Indianapolis is located at 8691 River Crossing Blvd, next to Cafe Patachou. The salon is open Mondays-Fridays from 7am-8pm, Saturdays from 8am-8pm and Sundays from 10am-6pm. Walk-ins are welcome but appointments are better! Discover more details OR schedule your own appointment online at thedrybar.com/
