We had so much fun with you CityMoms during last year’s virtual charcuterie board how-to evening that we’re returning this Winter with a new concept: A virtual chai tasting with Raji of Aahaa Chai, a local, female-owned business. This is my personal favorite chai brand, and I can’t wait for an opportunity to share it with you!
Raji, the owner and creator of Aahaa Chai is from India, where spice is life. She grew up in a small town cradled in the foot hills of Western Ghats, enjoying several different herbal teas made by her mom. Knowledge and use of spices is an integral part of her culture- not just for the flavor profile of the spices but a much greater appreciation for their health benefits. She traveled across the globe to United States for her graduate studies, and this small town Indian girl was thrilled to find chai at coffee shops. But when she tried it, it did not even remotely match the authentic, fresh cup of chai brewed at home.
For this event Raji is customizing a special sampler pack just for theCityMoms which includes:
Quart-sized bottles of 3 chai concentrates: Bold masala (my fave), lavender vanilla, and Strawberry Peach Mojito Green Tea - each yields approx. 2-3 chai lattes each
3 loose-leaf blends: Choco mate Chai, Rooibos Kaapi Chai, Tropical Mango Splash- Green Tea
Raji will walk us thru how to properly craft a chai latte (it’s a little more unique than you might think!), easy recipes like chai pancakes, and offer up time for questions too.
