PRESS RELEASE: theCityMoms and Edible Indy Announce New YouTube Series The Mother Ingredient
INDIANAPOLIS, IN - February 9, 2026 — theCityMoms, the lifestyle media brand redefining modern motherhood, today announced the launch of The Mother Ingredient, a new original YouTube series created in partnership with Edible Indy and its parent company, Adam Grubb Media. The series debuts Monday, February 9, with its first episode featuring Filigree Bakery owner Laura Lachowecki.
The Mother Ingredient is a slow, story-forward cooking series that centers on food as a connector - to motherhood, memory, and the moments that shape how families gather. Hosted by theCityMoms’ Jeanine Bobenmoyer and Sarah Harker, each episode invites a local chef, baker, or food artisan into the kitchen to share meaningful stories before cooking and baking together.
“This series has been a labor of love for a long time,” said Jeanine Bobenmoyer, Chief Mom Officer and Co-Founder of theCityMoms. “We wanted to create something that felt like a pause - a desire to slow things down. The Mother Ingredient is about sitting at the table, sharing stories, and remembering why the kitchen has always been such an emotional center for families.”
Unlike traditional cooking shows, The Mother Ingredient begins with conversation. Hosts and guests share personal photos, handwritten recipes, and food-related keepsakes before moving into the kitchen to cook and bake together. Episodes blend warmth, nostalgia, and instruction - without the pressure of perfection.
“The Mother Ingredient is exactly what it sounds like - the essential element that makes everything else work,” said Camila Schaefer, Chief Creative Officer at Adam Grubb Media. “This isn't another cooking show. It's about the stories, memories, and connections that live in our kitchens long after the meal is done. We're honored to partner with theCityMoms to create something that feels like a timeout from the chaos, not more content to consume.”
The premiere episode features Laura Lachowecki of Filigree Bakery and includes baking banana bread and scones, while reflecting on motherhood and the memories that inspired her love of baking. Future episodes will spotlight additional Indianapolis-area food creatives, with stories that explore motherhood in many forms - whether as a parent, a daughter, or someone shaped by a meaningful mother figure.
The series will live on the Edible Indy YouTube channel, with supporting content across Instagram, editorial, email, and broadcast television. The Mother Ingredient is designed as a scalable, sponsor-ready series, with plans for additional episodes throughout 2026.
The full first episode of The Mother Ingredient premieres Monday, February 9. Watch on the Edible Indy YouTube channel.
