Graduation gifts for the teens in your life

Bust out the backyard tents and BBQ! Graduation party season is upon us! Sure, cash is helpful and appreciated to the high school or college grad; but, there are also so many special and useful things to gift a young person that doesn’t run the risk of going into a Beer Fund.

Whether it is a niece, friend’s child, favorite babysitter, or not-so-little-one of your own:

Here are some gift ideas to celebrate the grads in your life!

Let the new college student focus on their studies and help them keep track of the location of their belongings with an Apple AirTag or Tile tag. These little guys are great for keys, backpacks, bikes, or any other item they may lose track of. (With the exception of essay deadlines…!)

The idea of a community bathroom might seem weird at first, but those who have lived it know that sometimes getting ready for the “thing” is even better than the thing. Help your grad get the good vibes going with a waterproof speaker that can go in the shower straight to a bluetooth speaker for the tailgate.

The walk to the showers down the hall or even an early morning study session will be more comfortable in a nice robe. Guys and girls alike will find it useful, cozy, and you may even consider embroidery with their name or initials to make the piece really special.

Guys. Digital cameras are back and not much has changed from the one that hung from your wrist much of 2005-2008. (Well, except an SD cord that links to their phone for instant upload.)

Make sure your grad gets good sleep– and to class–on time with The Hatch Alarm clock. Differentiating itself from other alarm clocks, or even just a phone, with its sunrise alarm and noise making features, this is a special gift they will use everyday. Bonus points because it’s cute dorm decor, too.

Your graduate will make fast friends hosting movie nights, games, or streaming a juicy episode of the Bachelor for a crowd with this mini projector.

If you are on a college campus and the weather is nice, prepare to see countless hammocks hanging from any set of possible trees. This travel hammock makes the moment for relaxing with a great book– or a nap– possible whenever and wherever.

Coffee becomes a life source in college, but sometimes timing and budgets don’t allow daily visits to the coffee shop. Help your new grad become their own barista with a simple to use frother for their around the clock brew.

If you go the personalized route, Mark and Graham is amazing. We love their jewelry cases and the many initial options at Nordstrom. They are perfect for traveling back and forth from home to school and serve a role in keeping special pieces safe and organized in a small dorm room. Make it extra fun by incorporating their new University colors!

Help them keep all their graduation cash safe in a new wallet. We love this tanned leather one for guys. It’s grown up, sleek and you can’t beat the price! Young women will love this thin wallet with a clear space for their campus ID. And, if sports are big at their school, be sure they have a great clear bag for Game Day!

The young people you know who are embarking on the next step of their life have worked so hard and are likely so excited, but also nervous. Be sure to include a thoughtful card with whatever you end up gifting them sharing your pride in their accomplishments and your best advice.
