The Lucas Oil 500 Festival Parade returns to downtown Indianapolis on Saturday, May 23, 2026, continuing a long-standing city tradition that has been part of the 500 Festival since 1957. Festivities begin at 11:45 AM, with the parade officially stepping off at noon through the heart of downtown. Recognized alongside major national events like the Tournament of Roses Parade and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, the 500 Festival Parade draws more than 200,000 spectators each year. The parade features large-scale floats, helium balloons, marching bands, celebrity guests, and all 33 drivers competing in the Indianapolis 500, making it one of the most visible lead-up events to race weekend in Indianapolis.

For those unable to attend in person, the parade will also air live locally on WTHR Channel 13.
