The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra presents two performances of Dvořák’s “New World” Symphony at the Hilbert Circle Theatre in Indianapolis, IN, on Friday, September 26 at 7:30 PM and Saturday, September 27 at 5:30 PM. Under the baton of Music Director Jun Märkl, with acclaimed cellist Daniel Müller‑Schott as soloist, the concert features a stirring program of Saint‑Saëns’ Bacchanale from Sampson and Delilah, his dramatic Cello Concerto No. 1, and Fauré’s Elegie for a reflective contrast, leading to a grand finale with Dvořák’s radiant Symphony No. 9, "From the New World", inspired by his American travels.
