Indy Parks' Pack The Parks is coming in hot

Friends. The annual Indy Parks and Recreation Pack The Parks is coming in hotter than this summer heat wave. Scheduled for Saturday, June 29th, 2019, Pack The Parks is the department's sole open-house-style event of the year, offering free admission to Indy Parks locations and pools.

But don't take our word for it, here's the full scoop from Indy Parks:

INDIANAPOLIS – On Saturday, June 29, Indy Parks will welcome families to its 4th Annual Pack the Parks celebration, presented by MHS.

Residents can enjoy free admission to pools (12-5 p.m.), weight rooms, Eagle Creek Park, and the Garfield Park Conservatory. This year, Indy Parks is also showcasing recent enhancements and new features at several pools including Garfield Park, Frederick Douglass Park, and Brookside Park.

The day begins with Yoga in the Garden followed by free BRICS ice cream at Tarkington Park (12-2 p.m.), a “Summer Olympics” obstacle course at Krannert Park, Pokémon Go! event at 10 different parks, two concerts, a public art bike tour along the Monon Trail, Nine13sports at Sahm Park, and more.

And, MHS will be at Garfield Park, hosting a Healthy Lifestyle Event with the National Kidney Foundation (NKF). NKF will offer free kidney screenings for adults, and MHS will present cooking demonstrations and fitness trainer demos showing you easy ways to get fit at home.
